The Haraldson scholars come from all walks of life and have ambitious dreams to make an impact in their communities. See below to learn more about a few of them.
Ana Villicana
Ana is studying Business and wants to become a financial advisor in the Rio Grande Valley to promote financial literacy in her community. She is active in the Hispanic Business Student Association.
Michael Graves
Michael is studying computer science at UT Dallas and wants to work in software development when he graduates. He plays the Euphonium and Trombone, and is actively involved in the Pep Band.
Ericka Acevedo
Erika is currenting studying Psychology and is working to attend Nursing School and become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She loves working with kids and aspires to provide comfort and security for young patients.
Axel Jeconiah
Axel is studying Chemical Engineering and wants to own his own business in the future. He currently works at the Texas Innovation Center and is involved in a Christian fellowship group.
Jeffrey Ngo
Jeffrey is studying Management Information Systems (MIS) and eventually wants to own his own business. He is a big foodie and actively mentors other students through McCombs Success Scholars.
Precious Adeniyi-Ipadeola
Precious is studying Corporate Communications and wants to work in business analytics and consulting. When she is not in school, she works at her event decorating business.
Zorayda Sanchez
Zorayda is studying Journalism and wants to work for a magazine as a writer because she likes fashion and pop culture. She is involved in various fashion groups at school and in her spare time plays with her pet bunny.
Steven Callahan
Steven is studying Computer Science and after graduating wants to work in cybersecurity, software engineering, or game development. In his spare time, he enjoys Taekwondo and Ballroom dancing.
Chikezie Ezuma-NGWU
Chikezie is studying Computer Science and after graduating wants to work in software engineering, artificial intelligence research, or robotics science. In his spare time, he enjoys computer games and volunteering.
Josefina Martinez Jimenez
Josefina is studying Statistics and eventually wants to obtain a master’s and doctoral degree in Statistics. During her free time she enjoys building miniature models, watching historical dramas, and listening to music.
Mariana Mercado
Mariana is studying architectural Engineering with a certificate in Environment and Sustainability. In the long term she wants to do city/urban planning. She also enjoys climbing and riding her motorcycle.
Roxanna Sanchez
Roxana is studying Journalism and Radio-TV-Film and wants to pursue a career as a community outreach and programming librarian. She enjoys reading books, hiking, roller skating, and writing poetry.
