Scholar Spotlights

Michael Graves

When I was a child I used to tinker with my computer, this curiosity blossomed into a passion for technology.

I hope to work in software development when I graduate. Making software and games with code feels like magic to me, and doing that for a living would be so much fun!

I plan on participating in the Fast Track program at UTD and getting my Bachelors and Masters in 5 years.

I usually make games and learn new programming languages in my free time outside of school. I also like to play my Euphonium and Trombone for fun!

I’m involved in the Pep Band at UT Dallas. I’ve always been passionate about music so getting to play for our sports team and show my school spirit was an easy decision!

I’m also involved in OpenUTD, I’m passionate about open source software so this club was also a natural fit for me!

My advice is to just go for it! You never know what will happen if you apply to things, and the worst they can say is no.
