Apply

Apply - We Want to Learn About You

The online application consists of four main components:

  1. Student Information – This section includes basic information about you (phone number, email, address, etc.). test scores, high school name, community impact / extracurricular activities, family financial information, college preferences, etc.  (Note: When filling out the actual application you will notice all this information is requested over 3 different sections for ease of entering in the data)
  2. Short Answer Questions (i.e., 1. Career Aspirations, 2. Impact Story) – There are two short answer questions to complete.  You will only have 200 words maximum to answer these. The first question is seeking to understand your career aspirations and why you have chosen them. The second is asking you to describe an impact you have made in your school or community.
  3. Two letters of recommendation – Two recommendations are required. You can either attach the recommendations or the online application can be sent to your recommender to fill out.
  4. High School Transcript – You will need to attach your Standard high school transcript.

Other important items to note:

  • Applications are due by December 15th.
  • If selected as a finalist, you will be required to attend a 15-minute online interview with the Foundation Board on the Saturday before the Martin Luther King holiday in January.

Note: This will take you to another site to submit your applications. Progress on the application can be saved.
